Valtellina is considered a skiing paradise, and in the Middle Valley all friends of snow and winter sport can enjoy the slopes of different levels of difficulty in the ski resorts of Aprica-Corteno and Prato Valentino-Teglio.
The Aprica Ski Area, with its 50 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes and artificial snow machines, combines four different ski areas in a simple but effective way: Palabione, Magnolta, Baradello and Campetti.
Aprica is perfect for satisfying everyone! Ski beginners can spend a pleasant day with the family in the area Campetti, where easy ski lifts and moving carpets will make their first experience on the snow even easier; on the other hand, more experienced and courageous skiers can ski down the famous black slopes of Magnolta and Palabione; Those who want to enjoy the view without too much effort can choose the super panoramic slope of Baradello, which this year became the longest illuminated downhill slope in Europe: a spectacle even at night!
The Ski Area di Prato Valentino-Teglio is a small snow jewel, thanks to its mild climate, its exposure to the sun and with a wonderful view of the Orobian Alps, the perfect destination for a day in the fresh air with the family. With its 10 km with easy and medium difficulty levels (4 red slopes and 2 blue ones), it really is a panoramic terrace that welcomes both ski beginners and expert. Even the youngest can approach this sport and are accompanied by the coaches of the school camp. In addition to the fun on the ski slope, the ski area also offers a 2 km long track for sledges and toboggans, served by a ski lift.
