This ski touring route starts in Prato Valentino and is signposted to the right past Baita del Sole. After a long and unchallenging section through the woods, it climbs sharply to Dos Lau’. From here, stick to the right of the ski piste until you get to the chairlift station at 2,200 metres of altitude. The route keeps climbing up to the top station of the ski lift. One final steep section takes you up to the summit of Monte Brione.
For lovers of ski mountaineering and ski touring, this route is a risk-free option to get deep into the rich nature of this Alpine region. And the descent? Carve your way down one of the fully groomed pistes in the area.
Make sure you consult the weather forecast and avalanche bulletin beforehand and equip yourself with standard ski touring equipment, including an ARTVA (avalanche transceiver), shovel and probe.
